Thanksgiving time starts the festive holiday season, and what better way to usher in this special time of year than to send out Thanksgiving postcards? Postcards for Thanksgiving are less formal and expensive than the traditional holiday cards at Christmas and Hannukah. A 4 x 6 postcard is around half the cost of a reasonably priced 5 x 7 greeting card, and doesn’t need an envelope and you will spend less on postage.
There are number of traditional images associated with Thanksgiving holiday that can be showcased well on a postcard – a cornucopia bursting with the bounty of the season; autumn leaves and foliage with their warm and comforting color palette. There are turkeys, native Americans and Pilgrims which can represented as serious or comic. And of course there is a religious aspect to this first holiday in the New World, which some people may prefer.
